Role Overview
Position: Resident Housing Officer
Reports to: Resident Housing Manager
Location: Waterford (covering Waterford & Kilkenny)
Contract: Permanent
Salary: €45,830 - €63,017
The Operations DepartmentDelivering essential services including allocations, rent collection, tenancy management, estate services, and community development.
Key Responsibilities
Voids & Lettings
Ensure quick turnaround of vacant properties, minimising costs.
Let homes efficiently in line with Clúid & Local Authority policies.
Advise prospective residents on housing options and responsibilities.
Tenancy Management
Refer residents for support, care, and adaptations.
Safeguard residents from harm, abuse, and neglect.
Address tenancy breaches (e.g., anti-social behaviour, property damage) and represent Clúid at RTB and court hearings.
Resident & Community Engagement
Foster safe, clean, and inclusive communities.
Encourage resident engagement and community integration.
Build relationships with local groups and service providers.
Property Management
Conduct estate inspections, liaise with Repairs & Property teams.
Work with Owner Management Companies and managing agents.
Collaborative Working
Partner with colleagues to drive service excellence.
Support new developments and contribute to housing policies.
Undertake duties as required within the role.
Complaints & Resident Voice
Prioritise resident feedback to enhance services.
Resolve complaints in line with Clúid’s policies.
Implement improvements from complaint reviews.
Person Specification
Knowledge & Skills
Understanding of housing law & tenancy agreements.
Willingness to learn and adapt.
Strong IT skills (Excel, CRM, Management Information Systems).
Excellent organisation, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication, influencing, and negotiation abilities.
Experience & Qualifications
Degree-level qualification (or equivalent).
Professional qualification (ICSH/CIH/IAVI) desirable.
Full clean driving licence.
Property Services Regulatory Authority Licence preferred.
Customer-focused experience.
Minimum two years in a business or policy environment.
Experience in housing/property-related roles.
Proven ability to manage tasks/projects and write reports.
Strong attention to detail, ability to identify trends.
Team-oriented mindset.
