A well-established business in the retail and e-commerce sector is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join its finance team.
Job Summary
This role will focus on financial operations across retail locations and e-commerce, while also supporting other areas of the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing monthly financial reports, developing and presenting quarterly management accounts, and monitoring inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare monthly financial reports, including bank, intercompany, and sales reconciliations within set deadlines.
2. Develop and present quarterly management accounts, annual budgets, and financial forecasts.
3. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate stocktakes.
4. Manage statutory VAT returns across multiple business units.
5. Oversee weekly payroll processing and related financial information.
6. Contribute to costing and strategic projects to enhance financial performance.
7. Maintain and enhance internal financial controls to ensure reporting accuracy.
8. Support year-end financial reporting and liaise with external auditors.
Requirements
* ACA/ACCA qualified with a minimum of five years' post-qualification experience in Ireland or the UK.
* Proven experience in accounts reconciliation and financial reporting.
* Strong ability to meet deadlines and present financial information clearly.
* Advanced IT and Excel skills, with experience using multiple financial systems.
* Prior experience managing a small team and overseeing payroll.
* Retail sector experience is an advantage.
* Excellent attention to detail, communication, and analytical skills.
