Quantity SurveyorOur client is an established construction firm, based in Dublin 1.
They have a variety of ongoing projects in residential, commercial, educational, healthcare and industrial with clients ranging from government,corporate and private.
The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for the measurement, valuation, and cost control of construction projects.
They work closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in construction management or a related field, as well as experience working on construction projects.
They should be proficient in using construction estimating software and have a strong understanding of building codes and regulations.
The responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor include:
Preparing and submitting cost estimates for construction projectsMonitoring the progress of construction projects and ensuring that they are completed on time and within budgetNegotiating with contractors and suppliers to get the best possible pricesManaging the budget for construction projectsPreparing and submitting progress reports to clientsResolving any cost overruns or delaysThe Quantity Surveyor must be a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
They must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
