Job DescriptionSLR is a leading international multidisciplinary environmental consultancy working across six key sectors: Built Environment, Industry, Infrastructure, Power, Mining & Minerals and Oil & Gas. SLR has a large and successful planning and EIA team that works across all sectors, throughout the UK and Ireland and with the international business.
We have an opportunity for a Planning consultant either joining as a Graduate within their first professional role, or with some degree of commercial post graduate experience to join our busy Dublin team. The successful candidate will be expected to assist with the delivery of a range of projects principally within the Built Environment, Power and Waste and Minerals sectors.
With projects across Ireland and the UK, this opportunity is an excellent prospect for the successful candidate to gain experience across a broad range of projects within multiple geographic areas. The candidate will be mentored by senior members of staff and be given the opportunity to be involved in both planning and EIA related projects.

About you:
Successful candidates need to demonstrate
1. IPI/RTPI or equivalent Planning related degree or post-graduate qualification (or working towards)
2. Good knowledge of the planning system and EIA Regulations
3. Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
4. Good report writing skills
5. Ability to work as part of a team and, if necessary, to manage a team of internal or external consultants
6. A keen ability to show initiative when necessary and be involved in business development or industry events
7. Good computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe.
Desirable:
8. In design and MS project experience
9. Good graphics and report presentation skills
