We’re hiring a Regional Technical Manager – Concrete Products in Rossmore, Co. Cork
Our client is a leading provider of high-quality construction materials, trusted by businesses and contractors to supply essential products for national infrastructure projects. Their materials play a crucial role in the construction of commercial buildings, domestic and agricultural developments, office blocks, and major road networks.
You will oversee QC, customer support, and technical functions for ready-mix concrete and screed operations. The role is based in Rossmore, Co. Cork, with regular travel to plant locations and customer sites within the region.
Responsibilities:
* Implement and manage the company’s Technical and Quality function in line with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and operational objectives.
* Drive continuous improvement in product and process quality, minimizing nonconformities and associated costs.
* Optimize raw material usage, develop and issue concrete mix designs, conduct trials, and identify opportunities for materials innovation.
* Manage routine sampling, testing, and product inspections, analyzing and reporting results.
* Provide supervision and direction to a small team of Construction Materials Field Technicians.
* Monitor and report on quality and compliance issues to senior management and relevant plant managers.
* Offer technical expertise for tender preparations, sales quotations, and customer support, including providing mix designs and technical data sheets.
Requirements:
* 5-10 years’ experience in a similar role is desirable.
* Direct experience in the concrete or quarry products industry is essential.
* A recognized qualification in materials or concrete technology is preferred.
* Strong understanding of concrete specification vetting and concrete mix design from first principles.
