We are proud to be launching a new state-of-the-art technology facility in Dublin, Ireland. The Dublin-based team will play a critical role in our continued digital transformation and will function as a centre of excellence for SiriusXM’s global Product and Technology organization.
SiriusXM’s new Dublin facility will comprise a workforce primarily focused on software development, automotive technology and engineering, AdTech, data science, and analytics. Talent based in the new technology hub will be charged with developing and implementing best-in-class standards for high-quality, scalable software deliveries for SiriusXM’s streaming and in-vehicle audio entertainment platforms.

What you’ll do and how you’ll make an impact:
The ideal candidate Staff Technical Program Manager – responsible for ensuring the deliverables for the development and execution of software which enables our OEM Infotainment systems to provide SiriusXM technology in Automotive applications.
Typical duties of the Software Program Manager will include Staff Technical Program Manager (TPM) will be responsible for managing complex, high-impact projects while contributing to the strategic direction of our project portfolio. This role requires an exceptional level of technical judgment, innovation, and execution to navigate open-ended problems and prioritize effectively. The ideal candidate will have expertise in multiple platforms or domain areas, advanced knowledge of project management principles, and a proven ability to lead teams and influence stakeholders.
* Support the full software development lifecycle from initial requirements definition through software release and end-user support.
* Improve the automotive quality assurance software process to support a seamless Automotive Software Integration. Ensuring the integrity and trustworthiness of analytics outputs in a highly regulated automotive environment.
* Ensure Software Development schedules are closely integrated into the SXM new product development process.
* Ensure software development metrics are gathered, and analytics established for the project delivery, influencing the overall success and innovation of automotive software initiatives.
* Oversee and manage large, complex projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
* Demonstrate expert proficiency in Technical Program Management (TPM) activities, and act as a subject matter expert in at least two platforms or domain areas.
* Contribute to the development and execution of strategic project portfolio management, including prioritization and alignment with organizational goals.
* Develop and enforce standards of quality and compliance and drive continuous improvement in best practices across teams.
Demonstrate a high degree of self-motivation, with the ability to work independently and drive projects forward with minimal supervision.
* Oversee scoping of new software work.
* Apply advanced understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies and best practices to ensure optimal project outcomes.
* Supporting cross-functional project teams from development to release, ensuring that projects meet their objectives and are delivered on time and with adequate quality.
* Regularly monitoring and reporting on progress to key stakeholders.
* Support the implementation of robust quality assurance processes to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and security of Tableau visualizations integrated into automotive software.
* Provide support to team members on software metric gathering best practices, fostering a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
* Co-Authoring process documents.
* Perform special projects, lab/field testing, and other duties as necessary.
* Work closely with software development teams and other Technical Program Managers across the automotive organization to seamlessly integrate Tableau solutions into automotive software applications.
* Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including non-technical groups, to convey complex concepts and drive project success.
* Manage conflicts with minimal support from leadership, demonstrating expert conflict resolution skills.
* Contribute to the development of project management best practices and ignite innovative conversations within the TPM team.
What you’ll need:
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering Management, Automotive Engineering).
* Must have experience with these areas:
* Proven 6 years of experience as a Technical Project Manager in the software industry.
* Strong background in analytics, data visualization, and expertise in using Tableau or other Program management and tracking tools.
* Understanding complex systems, as well as being able to analyse and interpret data.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive software development and prior experience in a program management role within the software industry is a must.
* Significant experience in all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle.
* Experience with Agile methodology including Kanban.
* Ability to communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, senior management, and external vendors.
* Significant experience with Automotive Programs and associated timelines.
* Expertise with (Jira, Jama, change management tools, and test tools).
* Experience with testing methodologies, best practices, and continuous integration.
* SAFe knowledge and certification are plus.
* Knowledge of Consumer/Automotive Cyber Security a plus.
* Proficiency in SQL, Tableau, and Microsoft Excel; experience with Python or other programming languages is a plus.
* Knowledge of Automotive SPICE methodologies and or CMMI.
* Experience in authoring process documents.
* Strong public speaking and presentation abilities.
* Adept interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with staff at all levels.
* Competence in operating as both part of a team and independently.
* Keen attention to detail and high organizational skills.
* A capacity for exuding professionalism on the phone and in-person interaction.
* Ability to tackle multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
* Perform special projects, lab/field testing, and other duties as necessary.
