Perform general office duties to support the Sales & Marketing function (e.g., filing, sending emails, typing, faxing, copying).
Prepare sales-related documents throughout the sales process, as requested.
Gather materials and assemble information packages (e.g., brochures, promotional materials.)
Efficient and diplomatic in dealing with situations involving any aspect of Sale, Marketing & PR where the image or reputation of The Shelbourne is represented.
Supports the efficiency and effectiveness of the team and creates a well organised office.
When necessary, assists with the reactive sales function of the hotel.

Sales Management: Focuses on building top line revenue by developing a sales strategy that utilises on-property and off-property sales channels to deliver results.
Works with operations department heads to ensure departmental sales and marketing strategies are aligned with each hotels overall plan.
Proactively positions and markets the hotel, manages the marketing budgets to enable development of hotel specific campaigns, promotions, collateral, etc.
to drive revenue and meet property objectives.
Revenue Management: Works with Revenue Management to ensure proper pricing, appropriate transient and group mix and implementation of sales strategy.
Addresses market fluctuations and economic conditions by partnering with Revenue Management to change sales strategy as appropriate for the hotel.
Guest Satisfaction:Ensures sales process meets or exceeds guest needs.
Identifies and addresses guest satisfaction issues to improve results, create customer loyalty and increase market share.
Human Resources:Selects, develops and retains a diverse hourly and management workforce to generate revenue and provide sales expertise to the properties.
Creates and sustains a work environment that focuses on fair and equitable treatment and associate satisfaction to enable business success.
Financial Management:Develops and manages each hotels sales and marketing annual operating budget to achieve or exceed budgeted revenue expectations.

Technical Expertise(Learning and Applying Personal Expertise) The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position: Sales Support DOS, ADOS, reactive and proactive sales teams with all administrative tasks.
Support marketing/advertising; work with Marketing Communications to execute strategy if applicable.
Proactively maintains positive internal key stakeholder relationships.
Understand and accurately represents individual property sales needs.
Act as a sales contact for customers; serves as the customer advocate.
Assist in developing strong community and public relations by ensuring properties participate in local, regional and national trade shows and client events.
Work with Human Resources, Engineering, Loss Prevention and other cross functional teams to ensure compliance with regulations and requirements.
Complete and distribute daily, weekly and monthly reports.
Maintain suitable filing system.
Distribute all departments documentation daily.
Review and keep up to date with current information relating to the industry and report the information to the DOS and ADOS.
Research new business, market, and revenue opportunities.
Maintain and update database of clients for all markets and mail shots.
Assist Sales team with mail merge, mail-outs and telesales and keeping systems and records up to date.
Include sales events in hotels daily communications.
Ensure telephone coverage during office hours.
Control stock of office stationary and equipment.
Assist in updating hotels listings and ensure that all information is up to date at all times.
Carry out group shop calls.
Track lost business on a regular basis.
Assist with catering enquiries as required.
Guest Satisfaction Assists in tracking sales and catering guest satisfaction results to identify areas of improvement.
Discusses guest satisfaction as a component of departmental meetings with a focus on continuous improvement.
Assists with a customer recognition program which is in effect throughout Sales department.
Human Resources Participates in community service events sponsored by Marriott International to build teamwork and enhance community relationships (e.g., Community Clean-up Day, visits to senior citizens homes, homeless shelters).
Assists with a departmental orientation program for associates to receive the appropriate new hire training to successfully perform their job.
Uses all available on the job training tools; attends appropriate core training classes.
Establishes and maintains open, collaborative relationships with associates.
Participates in annual Associate Opinion Survey.
Tracks department associates special occasions and assists in organising celebrations Financial Management Assists in managing controllable expenses such as advertising and promotions, operating supplies, travel expenses, etc.
Maintains a tracking system for financial documents.
