Accounts Manager
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to join a well-established solicitors in Kildare.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the firm's financial operations, including:
* Client and office bank management: processing online banking payments, cheque payments, lodgements, recording bank transactions, and reconciling banks.
* Petty cash maintenance.
* Accounts payable: recording supplier invoices, managing supplier payments, and addressing supplier queries.
* Accounts receivable: client invoicing and credit control.
* Client matter ledgers: maintaining records in accordance with Solicitors Accounts Regulations.
* Compliance reports: preparing reports in accordance with Solicitors Accounts Regulations.
* Staff expenses: processing and recording.
* Payroll: handling ROS submissions and reporting.
* VAT and VIES returns: managing ROS submissions.
* Land Registry, Court Franking, and CRO accounts: recording and reconciling.
* Revenue Commissioners Stamp Duty returns: submitting.
* Supervising Accounts Assistant and outsourced bookkeeping support when required.
* Nominal Ledger management: processing journal entries.
* Ad hoc reports for management: preparing.
* Liaising with external financial advisors and auditors.
The ideal candidate will possess:
* An Accounting Technician or similar accounting qualification.
* 2-3 years' experience in a legal accounts position.
* Knowledge of Legal Accounting Systems, preferably Keyhouse Case Management & Sam Accounts System.
* Familiarity with online banking processes.
* Knowledge of VAT rates and VAT reporting obligations.
* A proactive and professional attitude.
* Capability to work on own initiative.
* Ability to deal with staff members at all levels.
