Your New Company:
One of Ireland's most reputable Mechanical & Electrical Contractors with an impressive pipeline of commercial and DC projects in Dublin. Your new company is an industry leader in delivering high-class engineering solutions across a variety of sectors, namely, Data Centres, Pharma, Industrial, Commercial and T&D. They offer full mechanical and electrical contracting services as well as specialist high voltage (HV) and medium voltage (MV) design and construction services. Your New Role:
* Management of Site Safety in conjunction with the Safety Advisor. This will include the setup, management of and closing out of the safety file as part of the management team.
* Management of Site QA in conjunction with the Mechanical Package Manager including set up, management and closing out of file.
* Familiarity with and management of a project schedule in conjunction with other trades, Package Leads, consulting engineer and Client requirements.
* Assist with the management of all costs associated with your package including Sub-contractors, Material deliveries and goods receipting, Plant and Equipment, Variations & Valuations.
* Management of all day to day on-site operations.
* Management of subcontractor activities includes tracking progress against schedule and personnel levels. Ensure that there is a weekly minute meeting with a subcontractor.
* Issue direct labour hours and subcontractor hours to time administrator for tracking centrally.
* Attendance at Site Meetings, Internal Project Reviews, Engineering Reviews, Planning and Co-ordination Meetings and Handover Meetings.
* Close out all project items, including O & M Manuals, Punch List, Safety File, QA File, - all with the support of the Mechanical package manager.
* Implement a weekly look ahead ensuring co-ordination with other trades.
* Issue an internal weekly progress report. This will highlight complete progress based on WBS codes and any concerns. It should also highlight any risk elements within the control of Mercury, e.g. late deliveries.
* Schedule & track material deliveries to correspond with the project schedule.
* Maintain a weekly project photographic diary.
* All other duties associated with this role.
What you'll need to succeed:
* An engineering qualification or relevant work experience.
* Proven record of co-ordinating and managing large projects.
