Job Title: Building Services Engineer

Salary:
€60,000 - €70,000 per year (dependent on experience)
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Building Services Engineer to join our reputable client. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' hands-on experience in the design, installation, and management of building services systems.
This role involves working closely with both mechanical and electrical teams to deliver integrated solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the design, specification, and coordination of building services systems (HVAC, lighting, fire safety, plumbing, etc.) for various projects.
2. Manage the delivery of building services systems from concept through to commissioning, ensuring compliance with project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
3. Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and site teams.
4. Liaise with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure the seamless integration of building systems.
5. Prepare detailed calculations, reports, and project documentation.
6. Conduct site surveys and inspections, ensuring that installation is in accordance with design specifications and industry standards.
7. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective and sustainable solutions are provided.
8. Evaluate and monitor project progress, identifying risks and recommending solutions to mitigate delays or issues.
Requirements:
1. A degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years' experience in building services engineering, ideally within a contracting or consultancy environment.
3. In-depth knowledge of building services design, including HVAC, plumbing, fire safety, and electrical systems.
4. Proven experience in project management, from design through to delivery and commissioning.
5. Strong understanding of Irish building codes and regulations, including energy efficiency and sustainability standards.
6. Proficient in design and calculation software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Hevacomp, etc.).
7. Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians.
8. Full clean driving license.
