What you need to knowOur client, a leading engineering organisation based in Co. Meath, is seeking a Head of Finance to join their Senior Management Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional to take on a strategic leadership role.As part of the management team, the Head of Finance will be responsible for all financial operations, compliance, reporting, and financial planning. The successful candidate will also serve as a Board member and play a key role in shaping the company’s long-term strategy.This is a Permanent Position with excellent salary and benefits package.Your new jobKey Duties & Responsibilities:Lead the finance function including delivery of complete, accurate and timely monthly management accounts.Report financial results to senior management and group-level stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.Prepare annual statutory financial statements and tax returns in compliance with relevant regulations.Own and manage the annual budgeting and long-term financial planning processes.Maintain and optimise the finance systems including the general ledger and cost centre structures to enable effective cost control.Oversee cash management and treasury functions.Manage payroll processes as required.Ensure all financial internal controls are in place and effective in line with group-wide policies.Take ownership of the internal control framework (BICS).Serve as a member of the Company Board and Pension Trustee Board.Lead the Procurement and Stores & Supply functions.Support the IT department and provide strategic input into digital infrastructure planning.Undertake additional tasks and ad-hoc projects as required by the General Manager.What are we looking forFully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in a senior finance role.Proven track record of financial leadership in a dynamic and complex environment.Strong people management experience with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with solid knowledge of Word and Outlook.Experience in capital and project accounting, including fixed asset design.Familiarity with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 and IBM Maximo is highly desirable.Apply for this job now or get in touch with Tina on 087- 4086665.By applying, you are giving consent for Matrix Recruitment to contact you about this job.
