We champion the city’s commercial heart through collaboration, advocacy, and promotion of events and initiatives that help make Cork a vibrant and thriving place to live, work and visit.
Role Overview
We are seeking a creative, highly organised, and driven Social Media, Marketing & Office Executive to join our small but passionate team. This is a dynamic and varied role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves Cork City, and has a flair for storytelling, content creation, and community engagement.
You will take ownership of the CBA’s digital presence, coordinate marketing outputs, and support the delivery of our key events and campaigns throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities
* Social Media Management across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X etc
* Support with PR campaigns including press release writing and photoshoot management.
* Monthly Newsletter via Mailchimp
* Create and coordinate production of marketing assets in Canva or with external designers
* Develop blog content in collaboration with CBA committees
* Support and attend CBA-led and citywide events such as Cork on a Fork, Corkmas, Nighttime Economy Initiatives
* Assist in the promotion and marketing of all CBA events
* Website maintenance and updates
* Assist in executing membership communications programmes
* Help build and maintain a targeted membership prospect database
* Day-to-day office tasks
* Take and circulate meeting minutes for committee meetings
Candidate Profile
Essential:
* 2+ years’ experience in a similar social media, marketing or events role
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Experience using social media platforms and scheduling tools
* Ability to work on multiple projects and prioritise tasks
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Willingness to attend events and work occasional evenings/weekends when needed
* Flexibility in hours to respond to Social Media requirements as needed
Desirable:
* Proficiency in Canva and email marketing tools (e.g. Mailchimp)
* Knowledge of Wordpress or similar CMS
* Experience working with a membership-based organisation
* Familiarity with Cork’s business and cultural landscape
* Basic graphic design or photography/videography skills
* Knowledge of SEO and digital marketing trends
