Operations Manager
An established manufacturing company seeks a skilled Operations Manager to oversee and enhance its production operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversight of daily production operations to meet quality and efficiency targets.
* Assistance in production scheduling, ensuring on-time delivery to customers.
* Leadership and motivation of a skilled production team to achieve performance goals.
* Monitoring and implementation of KPIs to drive continuous improvements.
* Collaboration with Engineering, Procurement, and Quality teams to optimise operations.
* Ensuring compliance with transport regulations and safety policies.
* Identification of opportunities for cost reductions and process improvements.
* Management of production budgets, resources, and planning in alignment with business goals.
* Collaboration with HR on performance management and employee relations.
Essential Requirements:
* 5+ years of experience in a production management role within manufacturing or engineering.
* Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
* Knowledge of lean manufacturing and quality control systems.
* Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
* Proficiency in production planning software and ERP systems.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Degree or relevant qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
* Experience in recycling or heavy industries is a plus.
