Overview / Purpose of the Role
Reporting to the Facilities Engineering Manager, the role will support the preventative maintenance program by carrying out effective maintenance routines and repairs to prolong the useful life of the facility and its equipment. The role is primarily located at Magna Park, City West and may require assistance at our other facility in Baldonnell.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance functions are prioritized and responded to in a timely manner and performed as required.
* Liaise daily with Facilities Helpdesk ensuring works are completed in a timely manner and that all tasks are carried out to a high standard.
* Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance, completing all associated paperwork and records.
* Work with sub-contractors to ensure tasks are performed successfully and closed out in line with statutory and internal procedures and in a cost-effective manner.
* Comply with the Permit to Work system.
* Work within regulated environment for Building Regulations, Fire Regulations, Health, and Safety Regulations.
* Ensure Risk Assessments are conducted and maintained valid.
* Approving Contractor RAMS, Insurances, and signed safety statements for project works
* Work closely with H&S to maintain & approve contractor safety & general site safety.
* Provide emergency response standby and callout.
* Respond to emergency breakdowns promptly to reduce downtime.
* Follow systematic root cause problem solving and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
* Order and maintain appropriate stock of spare parts.
* Undertake as required mechanical repairs/maintenance i.e. plumbing, drainage, pumps.
* Complete as required repairs and upgrades to racking systems (subject to training)
* Be comfortable with minor electrical works such as re-lamping and PAT testing (subject to training)
* Undertake ad-hoc repairs to flooring, ceilings, tiling, painting, and general maintenance duties.
* Complete weekly & monthly compliance checks & testing duties on sprinklers, water hygiene, generator tests etc
* Energy Management - Maintaining and reporting of energy management system for gas and electricity.
* Quality - Change control & Deviations
* Maintenance of HVAC and refrigeration equipment
* Providing electrical support to the facilities team where required.
Key Experience / Skills / Education
* Must hold minimum of minimum QQI level 6 mechanical, refrigeration training qualification.
* QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft - Mechanical Automation and Maintenance Fitting, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning. Preferred but not essential.
* 2-3 Years Post training experience
