About the Post
We are seeking an experienced administrative and operational support specialist to join our team. The postholder will provide critical support to the School and two of its research centres – the Data Science Centre and Healthcare Outcomes Research Centre.
Key Responsibilities
* Performing administrative duties and supporting the efficient functioning of the School
* Scheduling and organising meetings, minute-taking
* Ordering materials and dealing with suppliers, raising purchase orders
* Reconciling expenditure against budgets
* Supporting the development and production of annual reports, research reports, etc.
* Managing the Data Science Centre's support requests and services
* Implementing and developing standard operating procedures
* Coordinating and supporting new starter processes within the School
* Liaising with colleagues in central support functions (e.g. Estates, Finance, etc.)
* Supporting the School's programme of webinars and events
* Supporting the School's communication and dissemination activities on social media
Requirements
* Three to five years' experience in a related role and work environment
* Excellent knowledge of MS 365 suite
Skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* High standard of accuracy in both written and numerical work
* Experience of event management
* Experience with social media
* Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
* Conscientious with keen attention to detail
* Ability to work on one's own initiative, as well as in a team environment
* Strong problem-solving skills, self-driven and results-oriented
* Strong relationship skills: engaging colleagues and stakeholders collaboratively
