FRS Farm Services are inviting applicants for a farm manager role in Nenagh Co. Tipperary.
Details on Farm Milking 150 cows annually Spring calving system commencing February but later calves are milked throughout the winter Grazing block 70 acres on farm premises and a further 70 acres 2 miles away which is Zero grazed.
Out farms used for growing beet, maize & barley All Breeding is conventional of Aberdeen Angus bulls and herd replace are purchased annually.
50% of calves reared until Weaning age which other half sold once as calves 16 unit Dairy Master milking Parlour with adjoining cubicle shed Own Machinery on farm with high percentage of contract work carried out internally where possible ,except for busy periods Main Duties Milking commences at AM daily and at 3.30 afternoon with a finish time at PM Monday to Friday and a roaster weekend on once per month.
Also in Winter- diet feeding, lime cubicles, foot bath, slurry, & assist with feed and bedding calves will be required and in the summer months Push in grass after zero grazing, slurry, manage grass in paddocks, spreading fertiliser is required.
Other farm related duties will be required also.
Time in Lieu will be recorded once the busy calving system as additional hours will be required.
