A prominent firm is seeking a dedicated and highly organized Legal Secretary to support their Litigation and Bankruptcy department.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive administrative support, including preparing legal documents, managing calendars, and coordinating correspondence.
* Assist with litigation case management, including filing legal documents, tracking deadlines, and maintaining case files.
* Manage bankruptcy-related filings, documentation, and legal procedures.
* Draft, format, and review litigation and bankruptcy documents, such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
* Coordinate meetings, hearings, and court appearances for solicitors.
* Maintain both electronic and paper-based case files in accordance with firm protocols.
* Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing solicitors, and internal team members.
* Handle scheduling, travel arrangements, and other administrative tasks for senior solicitors.
* Contribute to special projects and team initiatives as required.
Key Skills & Qualifications
* Solid experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within litigation and bankruptcy.
* Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to handle competing priorities and deadlines effectively.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal document management systems.
* Familiarity with e-filing systems and litigation procedures.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working in a law firm or corporate legal department.
* Familiarity with legal billing and document management tools.
