Precipart is looking to hire a dynamic and driven Business Development Engineer who resides in Ireland and can work remotely. As a Business Development Engineer, you will have the opportunity to identify, develop, sell, and manage engineering solutions that drive business growth in the medical device sector in Ireland. The Business Development Engineer maintains and creates relationships with our valued customers, improves and facilitates business growth within the current customer base, grows revenue by selling to new or existing customers, manages projects supporting new projects from inception to production, including transitioning business from current stakeholders, and facilitates seamless collaboration among internal departments to ensure an integrated team approach, ultimately enhancing overall customer satisfaction. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Identify and develop new accounts to grow business
* Collaborate with management, engineering, and other staff regarding product opportunities
* Act as a focal point for all incoming and outgoing communication with assigned customers and provide regular status reports as needed
* Establish and maintain strong trusting and positive relationships with customers and internal team members
* Manage and maintain accurate records of target accounts, opportunities, quotes, projects, contacts, and correspondence in the company databases
* Improve and facilitate business growth
* Provide comprehensive quotes in response to customer inquiries. This involves reviewing drawings and completely capturing the customer’s expectations; set up and maintain the CRM system
* Plan and facilitate one-on-one meetings with customers
* Coordinate all customer visits and program reviews
* Act as project manager, technical advisor, and product advocate, actively driving the technology stage of an application
* Provide design and specification development support throughout all phases of the sales cycle
* Address all customer concerns in a proactive and timely manner
* Coordinate the resolution of all customer issues related to pricing, schedule, cost, quality, warranty, invoicing, and technical matters
* Uphold the company’s high standard of quality. Address, contain and resolve all quality issues expeditiously and effectively.
* Responsible for conforming with the company’s quality management system requirements, as well as contributing to its overall effectiveness, and the ultimate goals of customer satisfaction, product compliance and ethical practices/behavior.
* Assume additional responsibilities as required.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / EDUCATION
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Business required
* Minimum 3 years relevant experience preferably in the medical device sector
* Candidates demonstrating significant, relevant experience may be considered for a managerial position
* Must be able to read and understand technical drawings
* Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate, verbally and written, effectively
* Exceptional presentation skills
* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from all internal and external stakeholders
* Ability to take initiative and lead, or contribute, in a team environment
* Detail oriented, highly organized, and able to multitask under pressure
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM systems
* A valid driving license is required for this position.
* Domestic travel: up to 30%
