We are seeking a number of Health, Safety & Environmental Advisors to work with a leading Tier1 building contractor on projects in the Dublin area. The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring that all construction works are completed in compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and industry best practices. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a leading building contractor and play an instrumental role in maintaining their excellent health and safety record.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide support and advice to colleagues, subcontractor personnel and other third parties.
2. Proper reporting of accidents, incidents and near misses in an accurate and timely fashion and assisting with investigations in accordance with company policies and procedures.
3. Conduct site safety inspections, audits and risk assessments as required and ensure that management personnel put appropriate action plans in place.
4. Conduct regular reviews on corrective actions arising from incidents, inspections and audits.
5. To ensure company HSE policies and procedures are fully implemented and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation.
6. Assist with the delivery of continuous improvement initiatives.
7. Ensure that HSE lessons learnt and other initiatives are properly communicated.
8. Provide a proactive approach to problem-solving and to the various aspects of day-to-day health, safety and environmental management.
Qualifications:
9. Degree qualification in Health and Safety or a related field
10. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role in the construction industry, with experience working on projects in Ireland.
11. Strong knowledge of Irish health and safety regulations and best practices.
12. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
13. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and address potential hazards.
14. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
15. Strong organizational and time management skills.
