Systems and Applications Support Analyst

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Systems and Applications Support Analyst to join our IT team. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation, support, and enhancement of our business applications. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, vendors, and the IT Manager to support the organisation's digital transformation goals and optimise the use of applications like SharePoint, Power Automate, Beacon CRM, JustGo Membership, and other critical systems. A key focus will be on developing and maintaining Power BI reports, leveraging APIs for systems integration, and ensuring seamless data flow across platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Application Support:
o Provide first-line and second-line support for core business applications, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
o Ensure the effective functioning of systems such as SharePoint, Power Automate, Beacon CRM, JustGo Membership, and other enterprise applications.
o Document and maintain application configurations and processes.
2. Data Reporting and Analysis:
o Develop and maintain Power BI reports to support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
o Collaborate with stakeholders to design dashboards and visualizations tailored to their needs.
3. Data Management and Analysis:
o Perform data cleansing, manipulation, and analysis to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
o Work with large datasets, leveraging tools like Excel for advanced data analysis and reporting.
o Develop and optimize SQL queries using MS SQL to support reporting and data integration tasks.
4. Systems Integration:
o Leverage APIs to integrate applications and ensure seamless data flow between systems.
o Work on projects to enhance interoperability and optimize system performance.
5. User Training and Onboarding:
o Deliver training sessions and create user guides for staff to maximize the effective use of business applications.
o Onboard new users and ensure their seamless integration into the organization's systems.
6. Process Optimization:
o Work with teams to identify inefficiencies in workflows and recommend or implement improvements through automation and better use of technology.
o Leverage Power Automate to streamline processes such as email routing, form submissions, and task automation.
7. Project Support:
o Assist in implementing new systems and technologies aligned with the organization's goals.
o Contribute to ongoing projects, including improving external sharing policies, enhancing team collaboration tools, and developing innovative solutions to business challenges.
8. Stakeholder Collaboration:
o Collaborate with teams and departments to understand their requirements and ensure applications meet their needs.
o Work alongside external vendors and service providers to address escalated issues and execute larger projects.
Key Skills and Experience:
* Degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field
* Proven experience in a business applications support role
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools, including SharePoint, Power Automate, and Teams.
* Experience with CRM systems such as Beacon CRM and membership management platforms like JustGo Membership.
* Proficiency in Power BI, including creating reports and dashboards.
* Familiarity with APIs, data integration, and systems interoperability.
* Proficiency in MS SQL, including the ability to write and optimize SQL queries.
* Advanced Excel skills, including data manipulation, pivot tables, and complex formulas.
* Basic to intermediate understanding of scripting or low-code tools for automation.
* Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
* Experience with training end-users and writing technical documentation.
* A customer-centric approach with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities effectively.
