Senior Leadership Position
A key role in a multinational organisation requires strong stakeholder management skills and experience in Vendor Management.
This Director-level position oversees the execution of vulnerability & patch management across a complex IT landscape, partnering with other functions to optimise enterprise monitoring/tooling/automation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Serve as key contact for day-to-day communications between SOC, MSPs, and IT Operations.
* Oversee scheduled security and network/firewall rule changes according to corporate ISRM policy and change management processes.
* Own enterprise monitoring/tooling/automation platforms, driving adoption and managing overall monitoring/alerting capacity/performance capability for IT infrastructure and applications.
* Partner with other functions to drive continuous improvement and harmonise operational processes/tooling/automation.
* Conduct regular reviews, producing dashboard performance metrics on enterprise patching & vulnerability KPIs/SLAs.
* Identify, develop, and implement automation opportunities for enterprise monitoring, incident response, patch deployment, and provisioning activities.
* Proactively identify audit and compliance-related issues to reduce security exposures and implement improvements.
Leadership Focus:
* Create a vision, clear direction, and strategy for the Security Tools & Automation Team.
* Establish, manage, and coach team members to clear objectives and performance expectations.
* Attract, motivate, develop, and retain a highly-skilled workforce.
* Monitor and improve team efficiency, effectiveness, and impact.
* Lead and enable enterprise-wide thinking in the team.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field (preferred) or 10+ years' experience.
* 7+ years of experience working in IT infrastructure services and operations environment.
* Excellent negotiating skills and experience in managing shared services teams.
* Experience in large, cross-functional teams influencing senior-level management and stakeholders within complex contexts.
* Previous experience in managing enterprise monitoring/observability/tools/platforms.
* Process skills: understanding of process costs and ability to work with suppliers.
* Ability to lead, coach, develop, and mentor high-performing teams.
