Job Description:
The Programme Manager - Development & Innovation is a key role within the R&D team responsible for delivering new products to the business and continuously improving products, processes, and people.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver programmes of development related activity for NPI and Value Improvement (VI) in full, to time and cost, meeting agreed objectives and requirements.
* Maintain a sound theoretical approach to technology and demonstrate practical application of engineering knowledge in planning and specifying activities.
* Promote innovation and advancement in technology, participating in or specifying research and development.
* Contribute to continuous improvement, ensuring ongoing review of technology, processes, and outcomes, and implementation of new initiatives.
Requirements:
* Expertise in leading and mentoring Engineers.
* Up-to-date principles in technology, performance optimisation, validation, and test methodology.
* Knowledge and understanding of engineering principles in relevant technology and competence centre fields.
* Strong background in product research and development, and continuous improvement, in a technical or engineering or manufacturing discipline.
* Excellent technical experience and advanced knowledge of own or professional discipline.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in areas such as ventilation and heat recovery, heat pump systems, thermodynamics, thermal and electrical material properties, heat transfer, fluid flow, mass flow, and fluid dynamics.
* Working with approval bodies.
