Role Description:
The Process Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions that enhance the efficiency and reliability of our manufacturing processes. This role requires expertise in the Rockwell Automation platform, including PLCs and HMIs using Studio and FTView SE and ME. The ideal candidate will be proficient in generating technical evaluations and test plans for change controls and managing code through AssetCentre and ThinManager. Experience with PlantPAX is highly desirable.
What you’ll do:
* Develop and implement automation solutions using Rockwell Automation platforms (PLC and HMI) – Studio and FTView SE and ME.
* Create and maintain detailed technical evaluations and test plans for change controls to ensure robust and compliant automation solutions.
* Manage version control and deployment of automation code in AssetCentre.
* Operate and configure ThinManager for centralized management of thin clients and related devices.
* Utilize PlantPAX for process control and automation solutions.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation systems to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, and quality, to identify and implement automation improvements.
* Provide technical support and training to other team members and stakeholders as needed.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
What you need:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
* Proven experience with Rockwell Automation platforms (PLC and HMI) – Studio and FTView SE and ME.
* Strong understanding of technical evaluations and the creation of test plans for change controls.
* Proficiency in checking code in and out of AssetCentre.
* Experience with ThinManager for thin client management.
* Knowledge of PlantPAX is a significant advantage.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
