Social Care Team Leader
Overview
Our client is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Care Team Leader to join their team in Port Laoise, County Laois. The successful individual will play a vital role in leading a team to provide exceptional care and support to young people.
Responsibilities
1. Policy and Procedures: Adhere to all organisational policies and procedures, with a focus on safety, health, and budgeting.
2. Leadership: Supervise and support social care team members while promoting professional development and effective communication within the team.
3. Oversight and Governance: Evaluate team performance, engage in significant event reviews, and contribute to monitoring and auditing efforts.
4. Care of the Young People: Encourage active participation of young people in decision-making, assess their needs, and collaborate on care plans.
5. Professional Development: Engage in training programmes, structured supervision sessions, and maintain effective self-care practices.
6. Safeguarding: Fulfil all responsibilities as a mandated person, address safeguarding risks promptly, and ensure familiarity with the organisation's Child Safeguarding Statement.
Qualifications
1. BA in Applied Social Care Work or equivalent
2. Minimum of two years' experience in social care with children/young people
3. Right to work in Ireland
4. Full clean driving license (desired)
Day-to-day
1. Location: Port Laoise, County Laois
2. Salary: €47,424.00 per annum based on two sleepovers per week
3. Rosters: Can include sleepovers, day shifts, waking nights
