An Tairseach Organic Farm and Ecology Centre (CTR) is a registered charity and social enterprise set up by the Dominican Sisters in the 1990's, whereby they set about establishing an ecological project in Wicklow.
The Dominicans own 70 acres of land located on a hillside overlooking the Irish Sea which they now use for a Centre for Ecology and Spirituality, an Organic Farm and Farm shop and a Conservation area.

The Role: Reporting into the Executive Director, the position of Programme Manager of An Tairseach Ecology Centre involves the following responsibilities: Designing all aspects of the Centre's annual programme, planning and implementation.
The Centre's courses, retreats and workshops emphasize the ecological and spiritual dimensions of the universe's story and the human story.
Programmes will not only cast light on those worldviews, beliefs, and practices that have contributed to the crisis of earth's sustainability, but will also explore and promote ways of thinking, acting, and believing that will support the healing of earth and the transformation of the human species.
Design, implement, and evaluate the long- and short-term sabbatical programmes.
Oversee sabbatical programme.
Recruit and manage the admissions process for sabbatical participants.
Accompany the sabbatical group on educational outings.
Collaborate in planning, preparing and facilitation of courses and workshops that raise awareness and understanding of earth literacy, biodiversity and sustainability.
Collaborate in planning, preparing and facilitation of seasonal celebrations e.g.
winter/summer solstices, spring/autumn equinoxes.
Initiate, plan and facilitate group days of reflection and tours.
Develop relationships and collaborate with other like-minded Ecology Centres.
Upholding and promoting the vision and values of An Tairseach Collaborate with all other members of An Tairseach staff, who, in their various roles, are involved in achieving the goals and representing the values of the Company.
Qualifications and skills: Basic degree and experience in a field related to ecology, education, JPIC (justice, peace, and integrity of creation).
Master's degree in a related field preferred.
Study and familiarity with the modern insights of science, ecology and the evolution of thought and religion.
Knowledge of the writings of authors such as Teilhard de Chardin, Thomas Berry, Brian Swimme and Ilia Delio which deal with the new scientific insights and challenges to the web of life and our future.
Strong teaching, communication and group facilitation skills.
Good computer skills: word, excel, power point (Microsoft office).
Capacity to interact well with diverse cultures, flexibility and team player.
Remuneration: Salary DOE Location & Hours: This role will be based in Wicklow Town.
Hours are Monday to Friday: 9am to 5pm
