Nordex UK and Ireland are excited to be recruiting for our next cohort of Service Technician Apprentices who will be working across windfarms in the UK & Ireland.
This position will cover the Moanvane Windfarm in County Offaly.
What will you be doing during your Apprenticeship?
The Nordex Apprenticeship programme provides our apprentices with a supportive environment to learn the practical elements of working on a wind turbine, while working towards a recognised qualification. Our service team maintains and services on-shore wind farms across the UK and Ireland, and as part of your apprenticeship, you will work on different wind turbines across our range, gaining an understanding of all aspects of the service process, whilst working alongside our experienced teams.
During your time on your apprenticeship at Nordex, you will be working towards the Wind Turbine Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship qualification which is a 3-year course studying with Kerry College.
During your time on the apprenticeship, you will split your time between college and spending time out on site. The course takes a blended learning approach with a strong focus on practical experience and an understanding of how you will put your academic learning into practice.
What are we looking for?
* You will hold a QQI Level 4 (Major Award) or equivalent qualification and a Pass Grade in Mathematics at Level 3
* You will have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and develop your skills
* You will enjoy problem solving and the buzz of supporting the team that keeps our wind turbines turning and generating renewable energy for the nation
* You must be at least 18 years of age due to insurance compliance on our sites

Our Recruitment Process
1. 1st Stage: Submit your CV and answer some questions via the Apply Now button by Wednesday 19th March 2025.
2. Stage 2: Review of applications by the end of March 2025.
3. Stage 3: Successful candidates will be invited to assessment centres in early April 2025.
4. Stage 4: Successful candidates will be notified by May 2025.
5. Stage 5: Meet your team and attend an induction day in late August.
6. Stage 6: Start date usually at the beginning of September 2025.
