Senior Health & Safety Advisor - Dublin
The Life Science and Tech division is looking for a Health & Safety Manager to join the team in Dublin. The ideal candidate will have a background in M+E projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Demonstrate strong leadership skills.
2. Assist the BU HSE Manager in the consistent rollout of company strategy and expectations within SOPs, Guidance, etc.
3. Carry out high-quality safety inspections of Sisk workplaces at a frequency and with the intrusiveness as coached by the BU HSE Manager. Perform risk reviews.
4. Attend sites following accidents/incidents and assist with the investigation. In the absence of the Project Director, lead the investigation.
5. Liaise with enforcement authorities if they attend site on routine visits or to investigate following an incident.
6. Understand bespoke client requirements and tailor the management system to the same with line manager approval.
7. Alert your line manager if there are signs of deterioration or lack of ownership in delivering expected Sisk and/or bespoke client safety requirements.
8. Assist the BU HSE Manager with tender and pre-qualification submissions where requested, advising on Health and Safety concerns as well as helping provide practical solutions.
9. Attend Start Up meetings with Sisk site teams. Where requested, attend other meetings with Client & supply chain.
10. Coach staff at all levels in Health and Safety expectations and standards.
11. Implement the management system and coach and encourage others to use it appropriately.
12. Foster innovative ideas for enhanced safety performance.
13. Deliver appropriate training.
14. Have and share knowledge and advice with teams on environmental principles and management.
Requirements:
1. At least 10 years in the construction industry, ideally Pharma.
2. At least 10 years as a Health and Safety professional.
3. Be inquisitive in root cause outcomes.
4. Lead on improvement initiatives.
5. Effective and confident training provider.
6. Time Management.
7. Organization Skills.
8. NEBOSH Construction Diploma or equivalent.
9. NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent.
10. NVQ Level 4 / EFQ L5 on Occupational Health and Safety or Equivalent.
11. Internal Auditor.
