Role Overview:
The Purchasing Manager will oversee sourcing, supplier management, demand forecasting and production planning. This role ensures the timely availability of raw materials and finished goods while optimizing costs and maintaining quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Sourcing and Purchasing:
* Source and purchase raw materials, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
* Work closely with the Creative Director, Managing Director, and Warehouse Manager to align stock availability with key product launch dates.
Demand Planning & Production Scheduling:
* Develop, update, and implement the manufacturing plan for in-house and outsourced production.
* Monitor Sales orders, Sales forecasts, launch plans and promotion campaigns in order to plan production schedule and external purchase to ensure stock availability to meet orders.
* Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams on demand planning to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Supplier and Subcontractor Management:
* Manage all suppliers of raw materials and production subcontractors.
* Negotiate Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with key suppliers, transport companies, and subcontractors.
* Regularly review and optimize inbound transport rates for parcels and pallets.
Inventory and Stock Management:
* Ensure zero stock outages for key SKUs and develop safety stock levels for all lines.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date data in the NetSuite ERP for raw materials, finished goods, and new SKUs.
Systems and Process Optimization:
* Ensure ERP systems fully reflect the production plan and raw material orders.
* Continuously improve production planning and supplier collaboration processes.

* Analytical Skills: Proficient in data analysis and forecasting to inform decisions.
* ERP Proficiency: Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) for managing inventory and production.
* Negotiation: Skilled in securing favorable terms with suppliers and subcontractors.
* Collaboration: Effective cross-functional team coordination with Sales, Marketing, Warehouse and Logistics.
* Problem-Solving: Capable of addressing challenges and driving improvements.
* Time Management: Strong organizational skills to handle multiple priorities efficiently.
* Leadership: Proven ability to manage supplier and subcontractor relationships.
* Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy in stock management, production plans, and system data.
