Senior Civil Engineer - Government Body
We are hiring for our client, a well-respected government body, seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to oversee the management and maintenance of key infrastructure in the Enniskillen region.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the development, restoration, and long-term sustainability of inland waterway infrastructure across NI & ROI.
As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing maintenance and construction works, liaising with key stakeholders, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and contributing to environmental and strategic development initiatives.

The Role
Oversee the management and maintenance of inland waterway infrastructure, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
Coordinate operational staff and contractors, overseeing maintenance and construction projects.
Prepare designs, planning submissions, tender documents, and project reports.
Manage project budgets, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
Engage with stakeholders, local authorities, and community groups to enhance public engagement with the waterways.
Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies.
The Person We Are Looking For
Our ideal candidate will have:
* A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or an equivalent qualification eligible for Chartered membership)
* 5+ years post-qualification experience, including at least 2 years in an operational environment
* Strong project management skills with experience in site supervision, budget management, and contract procurement
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, Auto CAD, and IT-based engineering design tools
* A full UK driving licence and access to transport to travel as required
