This role requires technical expertise and leadership to deliver efficient, cost-effective solutions promptly.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including engineering, quality, regulatory, supply chain, production, and external vendors—to identify and implement strategies for manufacturing process improvements and yield enhancement.Lead or participate in cross-functional teams and coordinate with contract manufacturers to refine system design, architecture, and verification/validation processes, ensuring alignment with design inputs and manufacturing efficiency.Evaluate and integrate external process technologies to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality.Act as the primary liaison between customers and internal teams, ensuring clear and effective communication of project goals and progress.Represent the company in external organizations, boards, or committees as required, and serve as a liaison to other company sites.Provide subject matter expertise on complex projects and platform developments, offering technical guidance to engineers and technicians.Develop, communicate, and execute project plans, managing tasks and deliverables to meet deadlines.Develop processes, materials, and solutions through both in-house efforts and external partnerships, ensuring products meet quality, cost, and timeline expectations.Utilize structured problem-solving techniques and statistical methods to inform decision-making and process improvements.Ensure all work complies with quality requirements, integrating quality considerations into all aspects of manufacturing processes.Provide technical guidance and potentially supervise other team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing engineering team.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.Minimum of 5 years in a medical device manufacturing environment, with a strong background in product and process development.In-depth knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes for catheter-based medical devices and implants. Proficiency in statistical techniques, Six Sigma, and Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) methodologies.
