Automation Engineer Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our team in Limerick, Ireland. This is a contractual position with a 4-day on-site workweek.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide end-user support for small manufacturing equipment applications, including troubleshooting and communication with management, business process owners, and users.
* Generate automation documentation, such as SOPs, Work Instructions, and Configuration Specification documents.
* Implement software/hardware changes and upgrades, ensuring minimal impact on manufacturing and facilities operations.
* Support automation change control requests and participate in security access reviews.
* Collaborate with Validation and Quality departments to ensure compliance with development life cycle approach.
Requirements
* BS/BA or higher in Science, Engineering, Instrumentation, Information Technology, or related field.
* Minimum 4 years of relevant experience preferred.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Experience in project management helpful.
* Able to problem-solve and possess a valid Irish work permit.
