We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Shift Leader to oversee kitchen operations during evenings & late-night shifts .
This role ensures smooth food preparation, maintains quality standards, and supports the kitchen team to deliver excellent service.
The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff during shifts, ensuring efficiency and teamwork.
Food Preparation & Quality Control:
Oversee cooking processes, check food quality, and ensure all dishes meet restaurant standards.
Health & Safety Compliance:
Enforce hygiene, sanitation, and food safety regulations (HACCP guidelines).
Stock & Inventory Management:
Monitor ingredient levels, reduce waste, and coordinate restocking when needed.
Late-Night Operations:
Manage the kitchen effectively during late hours, handling orders, staffing, and closing duties.
Problem-Solving:
Address kitchen issues, resolve conflicts, and assist with troubleshooting equipment or service problems.
Communication:
Act as a bridge between the kitchen team and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service.
Training & Development:
Help train new team members and ensure existing staff follow standard kitchen procedures.
Closing Duties:
Oversee kitchen clean-up, equipment shutdown, and end-of-shift reporting.
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum 1-2 years in a kitchen leadership role (Sous Chef, Line Cook, or similar).
Skills:
Strong multitasking, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
Knowledge:
Familiarity with kitchen safety protocols, food handling, and quality control.
Availability:
Willingness to work evening and late-night shifts, including weekends.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to stand for long hours and work in a fast-paced environment.
Team Player:
Positive attitude with excellent communication skills.
