Role Profile: As part of the Risk team, the Enterprise Risk Manager will support the Head of Risk in the monitoring of the financial risk of the company, the capital adequacy and the implementation of the full Risk Framework.
The Enterprise Risk Manager will maintain the risk framework, including the Risk register, and the relevant risk policies up to date based on the most accurate industry standards. Anticipating relevant new regulations and emerging risks, the role holder will play an active role in identifying, assessing and mitigating business risks.
Focusing on relevant CBI and CSSF regulatory requirements, they will improve the quality and the transparency of the risk monitoring. They will have to interact with wider Mediolanum Group risk teams and with the senior management team across the business to promote risk culture and best-in-class risk processes.
The role holder will be expected to generate ideas and use their experience and knowledge to inspire change in a dynamic environment that encourages innovation and creativity. Their commitment to providing relevant committees and the board with an overview of risk requirements and an in-depth analysis of the risk framework will be essential.
Duties:
1. Supporting the Head of Risk in designing and delivery of a comprehensive embedded Risk framework.
2. Oversight and maintenance of key Risk documents including Risk Framework, Risk Appetite, Risk Management Process and Risk Registers.
3. Delivering ICAAP and COREP processes and capital adequacy monitoring on a monthly basis.
4. Maintain and develop the risk register based on a comprehensive list of relevant key risk indicators, taking into account emerging risks, business strategy, external and regulatory requirements.
5. Contributing to the management of the regulatory risk and key company risk exposure analysis including credit, liquidity, market and investment risks.
6. Preparation and co-ordination of materials for committees and the Board.
7. Responsibility for delivery of risk reporting within the Risk function:
1. Regulatory risk reporting focus for UCITS and AIFs under management, and for the Management Company, ensuring risk are effectively managed and monitored.
2. Delivering clear regulatory risk reporting for multiple stakeholders within the risk and investment teams and the board.
3. Credit risk monitoring and credit analysis on treasury counterparts, mainly banks and major financial institution.
4. Other financial risk reporting to support regulatory reporting requirements and ad hoc request from Group, ECB, CBI or CSSF (FDI, annual financial statements).
8. Collaborating across the Company to deliver robust risk insights and outcomes.
9. Participate in various key Risk team projects to support these implementations and liaise with the project team.

6. Project management skills and experience of risk projects including data focused projects.
7. Developing and managing stakeholder relationships both internally and externally.
8. Excel proficiency a minimum requirement.
9. Excellent verbal, written and numeric skills.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related discipline, with Financial Risk Management being an advantage.
2. Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in a financial services environment in a risk management area.
3. Understanding of risk management techniques and approaches in an asset management company and fund management environment.
4. Awareness of financial services products across several strategies and regulations (including CRD / UCITS / AIFMD / MIFID).
