As a Category Buyer, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient supply of materials for production. This involves working closely with suppliers and internal teams to meet operational demands.

Key Responsibilities:
* Create purchase requisitions, requests for quotations (RFQs), and purchase orders within the ERP system.
* Ensure timely delivery of materials to support production schedules.
* Work closely with suppliers to ensure deliveries are on time and escalate any delays as necessary.
* Participate in supplier performance meetings to evaluate delivery reliability.
* Request and manage technical drawings for supplier submissions when required.
* Generate and review exception/shortage reports weekly to adjust order schedules based on production needs.
* Provide planning teams with accurate order confirmations to support efficient production scheduling.
* Organize and coordinate shipments and collections from suppliers to ensure timely receipt of materials.
* Enter shipping confirmations upon receipt of supplier order acknowledgments.
Requirements:
* 2-3 years' experience in a purchasing or procurement role.
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable.
* Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems is beneficial.
