Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for a full-time, fixed term position as a Research Fellow - Cancer Clinical Trials Research Office Manager with the Advanced Therapies and Cancer Trials Group at the Clinical Research Facility, University of Galway, Ireland.
This position is funded by the HRB and is available from February 17th 2025 to February 17th 2027 initially. Salary: Research Fellow salary scale €63,958 - €83,494 per annum, (subject to the project’s funding limitations), and pro rata for shorter and/or part-time contracts. The default position for all new public sector appointments is the first point of the salary scale.
This may be reviewed, and consideration afforded to appointment at a higher point on the pay scale (subject to the project’s funding limitations), where evidence of prior years’ equivalent experience is accepted in determining placement on the scale above point 1, subject to the maximum of the scale. Essential Requirements:
1. Minimum of PhD in the field of medical, nursing or health sciences plus 4-6 years full-time Postdoctoral research experience, or exceptionally, 10 years equivalent clinical research experience or closely related field including industrial R&D post primary degree.
2. Strong software and computer skills, including MS Office applications.
3. Strong Project Management and organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and meticulous attention to detail in a high volume, deadline-controlled environment.
4. Fluent in English, possess excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work independently or as part of a team and to demonstrate initiative.
Desirable Requirements:
1. Experience in Clinical Research.
2. Experience with Pharmaceutical Industry.
3. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and guidelines governing clinical trials (e.g., ICHGCP).
