Join our esteemed client, a leading hospitality group renowned for its luxurious accommodations, exceptional service, and culinary excellence. We are currently seeking an experienced IT Support Technician to join their team, providing essential support across their renowned properties.
As an IT Support Technician, you will work closely with the IT Manager and teams at various locations, ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems. This is a full-time permanent position offering ample room for growth and advancement within a dynamic and technically advanced environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with the IT manager to facilitate day-to-day IT operations.
2. Configure and maintain PCs and user accounts on the internal IT system.
3. Install, configure, and support business-specific applications, including MICROS POS and Oracle Opera.
4. Develop and maintain SOP documentation for all IT department processes.
5. Troubleshoot and provide support for printers, mobile devices, and other peripherals.
6. Offer hands-on technical support across all departments, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and application issues.
7. Diagnose, repair, and escalate hardware or software problems as necessary.
8. Provide initial user support and escalate issues when required.
9. Perform general maintenance on audiovisual (AV) systems.
Requirements:
1. Minimum of 2-3 years of prior experience in IT support.
2. Third-level IT qualification (minimum 2-year diploma) required, with a willingness to undergo additional training as needed.
3. Familiarity with Windows 11 Pro, firewalls, virtualization (VMware and Hyper-V), and server experience (WS2016 upwards) advantageous.
4. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills are essential.
5. Previous experience with MICROS POS and/or Oracle Opera interfacing preferred.
6. Knowledge of maintaining/troubleshooting domain IP networks, Active Directory, and Veeam Backup desirable.
7. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
8. Knowledge of AV systems is advantageous.
9. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
10. Flexibility to work overtime if required.
11. Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is essential.
12. Valid driver’s license required.
