We want committed, value driven staff to join our HQ team and are currently looking for a Donor Development Manager to be part of our Supporter Marketing department.
The job: To successfully implement Concern Worldwide Republic of Ireland Supporter Marketing strategy in order to maintain and grow income from individual cash and regular giving supporters.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in direct marketing, individual giving, fundraising and management. You will manage two Supporter Marketing Executives.
If you join us, this is what you will be doing:
1. Deliver strategic projects, within key performance indicator targets, that contribute to the development of the Supporter Marketing annual operational plan. Consistently analyse results, interpret trends, and provide recommendations on strategic marketing direction. Create and implement tactics for donor development and cultivation.
2. Line management of 1-2 Supporter Marketing Executives; including training and coaching, day to day task delegation, supervision and performance monitoring and appraisals.
3. Full campaign management and execution in line with prescribed deadlines. To include briefing of agencies, sourcing/development of materials, managing data selection criteria, copy development, managing the approvals process, proofing, briefing Donor Care Team, campaign analysis and reporting, managing costs and invoice processing.
4. Manage supporter development activity, to improve supporter retention and giving levels of current cash and regular giving supporters using techniques such as direct mail, telemarketing, emails, online marketing, and social networking.
5. Monitor and report on budgets and assist in building future expenditure and income targets. Work as part of the Supporter Marketing team to reach strategic targets.
6. To work closely with the Direct Marketing Data Analyst to review direct marketing campaigns and ensure that information is used to maximize income for future campaigns.
7. To ensure that campaigns are where possible integrated or co-ordinated thematically, creatively and/or by target audience to maximise impact.
8. To work with the Supporter Marketing Team to implement, and where necessary review the Emergency Fundraising Strategy
9. To assist in the training of external agencies, effectively communicating the work of Concern to key representatives.
10. Work closely with Corporate Major Donors, Donor Care, Communications, Overseas dept, Web, Active Citizenship, and other units to ensure integrated working and consistent messaging.
11. Undertake other project work as may be required from time to time.
Skills you will bring:
12. Degree or equivalent qualification (i.e. marketing qualification).
13. At least three years’ experience in a direct marketing environment.
14. Experience in donor development (fundraising).
15. Experience in managing direct mail campaigns.
16. Line management of at least one person.
17. Demonstrable analytical skills and highly numerate with experience of keeping and monitoring financial & budgeting reports.
18. Experience and knowledge of direct marketing recruitment and development techniques including Cash appeals, Tax, Christmas Gifts, Raffle, Newsletter, Display, Social, Press, Radio.
19. Experience of using a fundraising database for effective analysis of direct marketing campaigns and trend giving patterns.
20. Experience of working with external suppliers to deliver successful direct marketing campaigns.
21. Strong planning and project management skills.
22. Ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision.
23. Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
24. Excellent written skills including experience of writing and commenting on fundraising copy.
25. Excellent organisation skills and experience of managing a varied workload.
26. Excellent attention to detail.
27. Knowledge of GDPR regulations.
You will report to the Head of Development and Projects and work with the Fundraising and Communications teams as well as work with the wider Concern team.
The salary is from €54,500 salary range to €62,286 (Grade 5) and this is a permanent full time contract.
Our office is located at 52-55 Camden Street, Dublin 2 and we are currently working a hybrid model (50% remote working) and offer flexi time.
