Our client, a well-known global environmental company with roots in Ireland, is currently seeking to recruit a Maintenance Manager for their site.
This is a permanent position, working Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Manage and lead the maintenance of power plants and associated support systems, ensuring alignment with the Operations teams according to customer instructions.
* Evaluate performance against defined targets, ensuring works are carried out safely, economically, and within environmental and other design limits of the Plant.
* Be responsible for spare part management, purchasing, and contract management, meeting agreed objectives.
* Oversee outage planning, including scheduling and resource allocation.
* Play a key role in implementing the Plant Business Management System.
* Develop and implement a resource plan for the maintenance team.
* Establish a succession plan for the maintenance team and ensure associated people development plans are implemented.
* Lead the engagement planning process for the maintenance function, ensuring an action plan is developed in conjunction with the team and implemented.
* Progress the ongoing development of the Maintenance team through good communication, involvement, and teamwork, ensuring the team is motivated and skilled to meet ambitious targets.
* Lead and promote a culture of Health and safety, ensuring compliance with safe systems of work for employees and contractors.
* Lead and Performance Manage direct reports.
Requirements:
* BSc in Engineering or related technical discipline.
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant field; Proven experience in large-scale thermal power plant or related heavy industrial maintenance.
* Experience at people management, with the ability to lead, motivate, and provide direction.
