The Team Leader is responsible for the day-to-day clinical activities of the screening programme, ensuring robust processes, capacity and management of staff and training. They work with various stakeholders to deliver a high-quality service, reducing blindness due to diabetic retinopathy.
The ideal candidate has experience in the optical field, management and Diabetic Retinopathy Screening. Key skills include performance management, initiative, problem-solving, effective communication and IT literacy. The role requires supervision of staff, continuing professional development and a full driving licence. The post holder must demonstrate a right to work in the EU and pass vetting checks.
