Job Title: Finance Manager - Contract
We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join our team on a contract basis. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for coordinating and controlling complex accounting functions.
Responsibilities:
* Assist in preparing Monthly Financial Reports, Annual Financial Statements, and internal/external reports, ensuring timely, accurate, and efficient completion.
* Manage performance of the team, setting SMART goals, and providing relevant feedback.
* Organize workload and ensure availability of necessary resources and training.
* Induct and train new team members, delivering high-quality training and measurement.
* Drive Continuous Improvement to streamline processes.
* Coordinate daily workflow, completing account analysis and reconciliations.
* Assist in transitioning GL functions into/out of the SBS.
* Manage local and Philippines-based GL Accounting teams.
* Develop new and streamline existing processes and systems.
* Prepare and analyze cost information for divisional managers.
* Drive efficiency and continuous improvement throughout the department.
* Provide day-to-day cover for team members when critical deadlines need to be met.
* Manage monthly financial reports preparation, ensuring timely, accurate, and efficient completion.
* Review entity balance sheet reconciliations at month-end.
* Review entities' monthly accruals & prepayments to ensure accurate capture.
* Review entities' income statement variance analysis on a monthly and quarterly basis.
* Review entities' compliance with US GAAP revenue recognition criteria.
* Review significant revenue contracts for in-scope entities.
* Support function transitions, especially Record to Report.
* Deliver ad hoc reporting requirements and manage/review reports for accuracy.
* Interface with corporate tax and treasury on matters impacting the business unit.
* Collaborate with external audit staff for periodic year-end review procedures and local statutory audits.
* Provide input on local finance policies and procedures, ensuring ongoing compliance.
* Participate in policy and control environment development to ensure compliance with regulations.
* Enhance existing processes and develop new ones to ensure efficient completion of duties.
* Provide technical expertise, support, and guidance to the accounting group.
* Promote teamwork within the group.
* Develop relationships with internal and external customers.
* Liaise efficiently with corporate and other IT business subsidiaries worldwide.
* Provide training and support to Finance teams in Galway and Philippines.
* Ensure the internal control environment operates as intended and improvements are implemented timely.
* Provide assistance to the worldwide finance organization where required.
* Perform other duties & projects assigned by the Finance Manager.
Requirements:
* Accounting Qualification – ACA, ACCA, CIMA.
* Third Level Degree or equivalent.
* 5+ years' experience – preferably with Shared Service Centre/Multinational.
* SAP/Oracle or other major ERP Systems experience is desirable.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Able to work alone to understand and summarize financial data.
* Strong computer skills, especially MS Office & Qlikview.
