We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Regulatory Compliance Lead to oversee and manage regulatory obligations in Meili.
This role involves leading our data protection program, driving compliance with emerging regulations (including the AI Act), and providing expert guidance across various regulatory frameworks.

What You'll Be Responsible For Data Protection Management Oversee and lead the company's data protection program, ensuring policies and procedures are up-to-date and implemented effectively.
Conduct regular training sessions for employees to promote awareness of data protection and privacy best practices.
Manage data protection queries and act as the main point of contact for privacy-related issues.
Regulatory Compliance and Oversight Monitor and implement regulatory requirements impacting the company, including the EU AI Act, consumer protection laws and emerging regulations.
Proactively identify and address regulatory risks and effectively communicate these to relevant business stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Collaboration Support the security team in achieving compliance with relevant security standards and frameworks.
Respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and address regulatory and compliance inquiries from clients and stakeholders.
Provide advice and implement compliance requirements for consumer laws.
Policy Development and Training Develop, update, and enforce company-wide policies to meet regulatory obligations.
Conduct internal assessments to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Create and deliver training programs for staff on new and existing regulations.
Risk Management and Advisory Act as a trusted advisor to the business, offering guidance on regulatory implications for new projects and initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance is integrated into the company's operations.
Manage and resolve regulatory compliance-related incidents and queries effectively.
About You Minimum Knowledge & Experience: At least 5 years' experience in a compliance/regulatory position with significant time focused on data protection.
Experience working in a technology business with strong knowledge of GDPR and relevant legislative landscape.
Solid project management experience.
Preferred Knowledge, Experience And Skills Bachelor's degree and professional qualification in law, finance, compliance or similar discipline.
Outstanding communication skills that allow you to interact with a wide variety of stakeholders.
Proactive self-starter, with the ability and willingness to take a lead on novel and complex regulatory requirements.
Flexible, extremely organised and ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
