A Day in the Life
As a Manufacturing Engineer at Medtronic, you will be part of a team that thinks differently to solve problems, make progress, and deliver meaningful innovations.

Manufacturing Engineers are directly involved in maintaining and continuously improving the manufacturing processes to the highest standards to deliver on our mission to contribute to human welfare by supporting the manufacture of products that alleviate pain, restore health, and extend life.
Key Responsibilities
* Troubleshoot manufacturing/equipment issues that occur during day-to-day production and provide technical solutions using structured problem-solving methods like DMAIC and hands-on interaction.
* Provide engineering support to operations, helping to drive yield, analyze & reduce critical defects, LBM & cycle time improvements.
* Ensure equipment downtime is minimized during shift activity.
* Create/Maintain equipment documentation: EB's, EDST, IQ protocols, and PMs.
* Installation, calibration, preventative maintenance, and validation of equipment.
* Implement process improvements based on trends, NCMR actions, First Time Quality (FTQ) actions, where required.
* Implement relevant poke-yoke and mix-up mitigations.
* Work individually or as part of a team on various process improvement projects.
* Support NCMR investigations when required.
* Provide clear and accurate handover updates from the shift to Engineering on other shifts to ensure any issues are dealt with efficiently.
Key Skills & Experience
* Minimum of Level 7 bachelor's degree required in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Electronics, and Biomedical Engineering or related discipline preferred.
* Experience in a Manufacturing/Engineering operations environment in MedTech is preferred.
* Strong Technical Engineering knowledge and problem-solving skills.
* Good understanding of statistical tools.
* Ability to work across functions as part of a manufacturing support team.
* Ability to work on their own initiative.
* Agile MAP and SAP experience an advantage.
* Good understanding of Manufacturing cell operations and systems.
* Good interpersonal skills essential; must be a team player.
* Experience with SAP ME desirable.
