Operations Support Service Technician
The Operations Support Service Technician works within the Transport Technology directorate, responding to the Transport Management System (TMS) team and Integrated Ticketing System (ITS) team.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Serves as point of contact for technical issues related to our systems or fault detection systems.
* Supports hardware installation, configuration, and maintenance of end-to-end infrastructure equipment, including on-bus AVL and ticketing equipment and display systems.
* Updates network equipment with the latest firmware releases by arranging and performing scheduled upgrades.
* Troubleshoots Windows OS and Server issues in a business environment.
* Manages goods in and out, and stock management using asset management DB and other systems.
* Coordinates parts shipment to vendors for repair and books returned items back into stock after returning from repair.
Role Requirements:
* Based at the NTA's offices but involves frequent off-site visits to service providers and end-users' premises.
* Travel in and around Ireland, mainly focused but not limited to the greater Dublin metropolitan area.
Desired Qualifications and Training:
* More than three years of experience in similar technical service environments.
* Holds a National Craft Certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Automotive.
* Ability to understand and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
* Demonstrable ability to fault-find and troubleshoot technical issues.
* Systems analysis and design experience is beneficial.
* Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
