Position Details
What you will do in this role:
* Responsible for closing the financial statements in a timely manner each month, preparing mid-month and end-of-month projections, and processing payroll for the hospital in a timely manner.
* Assist in the identification and collection of patient financial responsibility for services rendered, monitor and analyze FTEs to maintain budget requirements, and enter AP invoices into the accounting software.
* Process check runs to vendors on a bi-weekly basis and monitor payer mix/UR for appropriateness of treatment.
* Reconcile bank statements on a monthly basis with accuracy and within specified timelines, and develop plans to work towards strategic goals for continued growth of the facility.
* Prepare actual vs. budget monthly reports within assigned timeframes.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field required
* Master’s degree preferred
* Previous experience in healthcare overall financial operations/controls required
* Experience in payroll also required
* Knowledge of in-patient psychiatric and chemical dependency hospital finance preferred
