The Risk Manager promotes and facilitates all aspects of risk management throughout the hospital and supports effective clinical governance and the implementation of standards for Safer Better Healthcare in the Hospital.
Together with the Quality, Risk and Patient Safety Team and the Hospital Management Team, the Risk Manager is responsible for the development of proactive systems that place the quality and safety of patient care at their centre. The Risk Manager will co-ordinate an integrated risk management system which will include learning from incidents, complaints, State Claims Agency findings and coroner reports. Operational responsibility to develop and co-ordinate a risk management programme in the hospital to effectively manage, measure and monitor risks within the hospital Promote best evidence risk management practices that foster a fair, open and learning culture Implement systems and processes to ensure that the organisation learns from incidents and claims analysis Supports Head of Departments and the core directorate management teams in establishing a proactive risk management culture.
