Essential Skills and Attributes A degree inBuilding Services orMechanical Engineering is required. Familiarity withBIM orCAD software is advantageous. 35 years of hands-on experience with a mechanical contractor or within a relevant industry supplier role. Proficient in the use ofMicrosoft Office applications. Demonstrates the ability to work both collaboratively within a team and independently when necessary. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capability to develop practical and efficient solutions. Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail are critical. Primary Responsibilities Interpret and analyze technical drawings to determine layouts and material requirements. Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders, including consultants, structural engineers, design teams, contractors, and subcontractors. Represent the team inproject meetings andtechnical discussions. Prepare and deliverOperation and Maintenance (O&M) manuals promptly. Supervise subcontractors and oversee the general workforce on-site. Plan and schedule work to ensure project milestones and deadlines are met efficiently. Uphold the highest standards ofHealth and Safety and maintain quality control throughout all stages of the project. Manage the ordering and on-site inventory of materials effectively. Performance Objectives Assist theProject Manager to deliver projects on schedule. Ensure timely procurement and availability of necessary materials to avoid delays. Negotiate cost-effective pricing to ensure the project is completed within budget constraints. Coordinate withSite Foremen to ensure appropriate staffing levels and placement for optimal efficiency. Verify the accuracy of drawings to mitigate errors and prevent unnecessary expenses.
