Single Point of Operational Control (Specified Purpose post), HSE South West (equivalent to Community Network Manager for pay purposes), Cork University Hospital & University Hospital Kerry Location of Post: There are currently three specified purpose whole-time vacancies available in both Cork University Hospital & University Hospital Kerry
These posts will cover a 12-hour service seven days per week.
A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign for Single Point of Operational Control, Cork University Hospital/ University Hospital Kerry from which current and future, specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled.
Who can apply: Applications are open to individuals who possess a relevant Professional Qualification in a Health & Social Care, Nursing or Medical Profession and where appropriate, have statutory registration or professional registration/accreditation And
Significant senior operational management experience of planned and unplanned patient flow in an acute setting And
? Significant clinical service improvement and change management experience
And
? Have operational experience in managing and delivering services including people management and budget management, as relevant to the role

? Significant experience monitoring risk compliance and performance reporting, as relevant to the role.

Email: ****** Scope and Purpose of the Post HSE South West is currently transforming the Operations function to ensure ambitious goals can be met.
The Single Point of Operational Control will be responsible for driving key aspects of this change.
The post holder will lead on day to day site management, balancing demand and capacity requirements and ensuring optimal patient flow throughout the site.
The Single Point of Operational Control will be responsible management has a day-to-day operational role in providing hospital-wide leadership and responsibility for the safe management of patient flow pathways across the hospital.
The post will work as part of the operations team to ensure a seamless patient journey, to enable the hospital to meet the key strategic and operational objectives.
They will have day-to-day operational responsibility for ensuring the smooth running of all aspects of capacity management and site management ensuring local and national standards are achieved.
They will manage clinical and non-clinical emergencies.
They will be required to balance demand management and capacity planning, whilst managing competing and conflicting priorities in terms of resources and timescales for delivery
