A leading tech company is looking for a highly experienced Senior IT Support Engineer to join our Dublin team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in IT support, strong technical skills, and the ability to lead and mentor junior staff.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide advanced support for complex hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
2. Lead and mentor a team of IT support technicians, providing guidance and support in troubleshooting and problem resolution.
3. Manage and maintain server infrastructure, including Windows and Linux servers.
4. Implement and maintain network security protocols and practices.
5. Assist in the planning, execution, and management of IT projects, including system upgrades and migrations.
6. Develop and maintain IT support documentation, procedures, and knowledge base articles.
Requirements:
7. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
8. Minimum of 5 years of experience in an IT support role, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead position.
9. Extensive experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
10. Strong understanding of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
11. Professional certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or Cisco CCNA.
12. Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
13. Familiarity with cloud services, particularly AWS or Azure.
