Overview
As a Microsoft Professional Services Procurement Manager, you will oversee the contract management process for our Architectural Engineering team in support of our datacenter construction projects. You will be responsible for the Request For Quotation (RFQ) process, in addition to preparing, reviewing, negotiating and executing contracts with various parties, such as, subcontractors, suppliers and consultants. You will also ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and industry standards, and manage any contract-related issues or disputes.
You should have an understanding of commercial language, construction practices, risk management and project management. You will work independently and collaboratively with different stakeholders and departments.

1. This role is located in Dublin, Ireland or London, UK
2. Relocation support will not be provided, and successful candidates must relocate or reside within 50 kms of the hub office location.

Qualifications
4. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Supply Chain, Business, Finance or related field AND
5. 5+ years post graduate experience in construction supply chain and/or construction procurement specifically with large complex capital projects.
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
6. Strong commercial understanding and experience of driving and developing key contractual components of categories (Architect / Engineer, Commissioning, Project Management, Cost Management and other construction services suppliers).
7. Knowledge of Datacenter industry preferable and / or mission critical experience and experience managing a variety of project delivery methods – ability to collaborate with a project team in defining risk and developing the appropriate contracting and compensation approaches.
8. Ability to work independently and within a matrixed environment; a self-starter and quick learner of Microsoft systems and processes.
9. Technical ability to write contracts, ability to set up sourcing plans and negotiation strategies to execute them.
10. Strong verbal and written communication skills for executive communication; ability to articulate points of view with executive management and stakeholders.
11. Ability to implement new processes and get buy in from a cross functional team.
12. High integrity – must be ethical and strong value based individual focused on fairness and maintaining confidentiality.
13. Be a high performer – be able to fit the Microsoft “culture” by effectively multi-tasking and managing priorities; have a “sense of urgency” regarding issue resolution.

Responsibilities
15. Create and deliver on contract execution plans, defining control processes and approaches that drive consistent alignment with business requirements and support continuous improvements in the execution of contracts within and across organizations.
16. Serve as a primary point of contact for identifying and resolving internal and/or external contract delivery, execution risks, and road blocks.
17. Oversee price and procurement requests via workflow process or technology as applicable in support of product and service requirements, ensuring procedural compliance, and managing the resolution of highly complex pricing issues raised by other sourcing personnel.
18. Identify issues related to procurement requests and collaborates with business and engineering partners to proactively drive process and system improvements.
19. Engage the supply base to process price validation and deliver accurate pricing to relevant team(s) for purchase order creation.
20. Create and issue Request For Quotations (RFQ's) for services required for the projects and evaluate and compare the bids received from the suppliers.
21. Draft, review, negotiate and execute contracts with various parties, such as engineering consultants, subconsultants, suppliers, professional services consultants and regulators, for architectural engineering services for datacenter construction projects.
22. Manage contract renewals, extensions, amendments and terminations, and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all contracts and related documents.
23. Communicate and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on contract-related matters, and provide guidance and support as needed.
24. Create and deliver on contract execution plans, defining control processes and approaches that drive consistent alignment with business requirements and support continuous improvements in the execution of contracts within and across organizations.
25. Support execution team in the identification and resolving of internal and/or external contract delivery, execution risks, and road blocks.
