Finance & Systems Data Analyst
This role involves working as part of a Financial Reporting and Analysis team responsible for management and statutory reporting at both Group and local entity level. You will spend your time collecting, analysing, interpreting, and reporting on information, predominantly but not exclusively of a financial nature.
You will add value through your ability to deliver robust & accurate financial information to aid management with decision making. You will drive change by reviewing processes and adding operational efficiencies to create capacity. You may lead or work as part of a team and will play a key role in the delivery of a robust Financial Reporting environment. This is a full-time permanent role.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Working as part of the Financial Reporting and Analysis team to gather and validate system data.
2. Review of reporting requirements for internal and external stakeholders and build reports to fulfil requirements.
3. Project delivery tasks such as business requirements analysis, testing, parallel and dry runs (on accounting ledger and consolidation tools).
4. Chart of accounts management, mappings between systems, dealing with business requests for new line of business set up.
5. Review of Balance sheet system interface queries and resolution of differences.
6. Identifying and suggesting opportunities to add value through improved efficiency or effectiveness and/or enhanced service.
7. Contributing to projects and initiatives as needed to improve operational efficiency, develop capacity or capability and/or add value for customers.
Attribute and Qualifications
8. Qualified Accountant with 2-5-years PQE
9. Role can be based in Dundrum or Galway.
10. Previous experience in Insurance accounting role desirable but not essential.
11. May have previous business experience in a Finance environment.
12. Proven ability to deliver high quality analytics to tight deadline & customer expectations.
